Swimming Pool
Installed in recent years, this is an exciting addition to the attractions available at Afonwen Farm. The pool is available free of charge to all guests staying at the complex.
Games Room
The Games room is situated by the main courtyard; it boasts 2 table tennis tables, pool table, snooker table and a dart board. All the equipment needed to enjoy these facilities are available at the farmhouse.
WiFi
Updated wifi is available in all the cottages.
Tennis Court
Why not try our full size tarmac tennis court? The court is marked for a single or a double match. Rackets and tennis balls are available at the farmhouse.
Walks
There are many walks around the farm’s fields. To access the paths, walk through the farmyard and continue straight on where you will reach the stream and nature area.
You can walk around the lakes or follow the footpath down onto the beach. If you walk along the beach in the evenings at around dusk, you may be lucky to see seals or dolphins.
Bird Watching
The lake at the bottom of the nature area is a haven for the wild bird population who migrate to the North Wales coast every year. The bird hide next to the lake is open to any enthusiastic bird watcher.
Course Fishing
Course Fishing in the lake is another past-time Afonwen farm offers. Speak to Arthur for the best spots.
Play Area
Afonwen has a wide range of activities for children. There are 2 large playing areas which include a volley ball court,a sandpit, plenty of room to play football, and a ride-on- toys area.
The Farm
Afonwen is a working farm. Work continues all year round. If you visit in March you’ll probably observe the lambing which is always popular with guests. In May the sheep are sheered on the farm. If you are feeling strong you could help carrying bales of hay in July.
