Autumn events at Afonwen

Whats going on down on the farm:

August 30th
Bird Watching Report – Sedge Warblers, Reed Warblers, Willow Warblers, Reed Buntings, Wrens, Sand Martins, Swallows, Starlings, Herons, Canadian Geese, Pair of Swans return for the winter. All seen and counted by the lake.

Sept 10th
Horse and ponies back in the fields for grazing after a busy Summer

Sept 11th
3rd cut of Silage Crop
Various sightings of the rare Stoat family in the fields and stable.

Sept 16th
Lets Go Walking Holidays – along the coastal path.
Pick your own Apples and Blackberries fresh on the farm.

October 17th
Urdd Llanystumdwy after school club swimming

October half term
Pumpkin Competition, Trick or Treat

November 1st
Winter holidays for the mountain sheep until March!

December 5th
Dyffryn Madog Young Farmers Club swimming event
